Coach’s View

We have a tougher schedule this year, picking up Sweetwater, Grundy and Bledsoe, but I believe in our men and they are up to the task. Everyone we play has a great coaching staff and will be very competitive. We will do what we do, day by day, whatever it takes, and to God be the glory.

Coach’s Corner

Coach Al Rogers

QHow would you characterize this year’s team?

A: Seasoned and battle ready.

QWhat will be keys to success?

A: No injuries and playing as a family, a pack;  we need to continue believing in our system.

QWho will be key leaders on the team?

A: All 12 seniors: Ben Bower (OL/DL), Daniel Guinn (RB/LB/OL), Tristan Huggins (WR/DB), Matt McCulley (RB/LB), Matt Millard (RB/LB), Lincoln Phillips (RB/DL), Colton Rogers (TE/DL), Josh Rogers (RB/DL), Aubrey Shamblin (OL/DL),  Grant Williams (TE/LB), Stone Hood (WR/DB), and Michael Dellinger (K).

QWhat can you build on from last year?

A: A great season of 10-2 – overcoming early losses but then fighting and winning eight straight games. Our players are tenacious fighters who believe in what we do.

Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?

A: All of the following: a great season last year, a lot of returning starters, and belief in what we are doing.

Q: What will keep you up at night?

A: Players staying focused as a team and not getting caught up in individuality.

Q: Any lessons learned from last year?

A: We must believe in what we are doing.
